This is a
picture of Marci the 7yr.old Thoroughbred mare that i worked with in my Intermediate
Hunter/Jumper class at SUNY Morrisville.
Me
leading Marci.
She was a great mare to work with and really taught me a lot about
training a tb off the track. I started working with her at the beginning of my last
semester of college in January 98 and finished May of 98. The last day of working with
Marci I jumped her myself over 2 cross rails and a vertical that were 1' 3
& another vertical that was 2', I had my
friends jump her more after I had jumped her and with a more experienced rider she was
jumping 3 In and Out Verticals each set a lil higher than the other starting at 2'4,
then 2'8, then 3' with no problems then my instructor set up some higher jumps
and had her jump 3' then 4' which she did with no problem at all :) I figured with more training and a more
experienced
rider she would make a great Children's or Adult Hunter.
Staunch
and I, the 3yr. old thoroughbred gelding I worked with in my beginning breaking and
training class. He was the biggest horse in the class and I was the shortest:)
