Ok what do you do to your horse who has just gotten "detaimed" by someone you dont know very well. my horse wont listen to me as well as he used to and i just got him to start cantering again but it takes a lot to keep him going (esspecially in the out door arena) and i also got him to stop ducking his head down every five seconds, but still cant get him to canter in a circle! so i have two questions, Should i let that person ever ride my horse again? and my other question is how do i get my baby back into full listening mode? |

I would never allow that person to ride my horse again if I were you!Sorry,I don't have any information for your other questions.Maybe you should take it slow and start him over again or get a trainer to help you out.Good luck!

It appears that your horse was especially 'de-railed' by this one individual. Thus, I'd consider the age of your horse and the training it has before I'd ever let anyone handle or ride him again.

Don't allow this person to ride your horse. Give him love, food properly and avoid riding on it for at least two weeks. Your aim should be to gain the trust of horse, once you have done it , it will be easy on it. Do not force anything which he doesn't like. |
