The classifieds description entry is a bit wacky in IE9, so will be looking into it. Need to test it out in Firefox and Chrome, but should work ok in all browsers. The Classifieds has been broken for some time, but it's all good now.

Links that link back to our site will be set to be a Featured Link. I've also ran the Link Checker and remove some of the old stale links. I will still have to go through them manually to visually see if they are real links or not anymore. This will take some time and I will post an update when I am done with that.

Generally I have gotten at least one a day, but that has dropped off significantly. It was to the point where for every 1 legitimate user, there were 25 spam accounts created. The current registration setup most of you are shielded from it. Prior to setting up the restricted registration a lot of the users would receive the spam posts via e-mail, so it was as if I was sending spam. It was and is a bad thing.

This update was a bit much quicker and easier than I thought. My gelding as it on his face and My Mare on her withers. I think with out unusually warm weather and the fact they both came from a colder climate and have only wintered once before here may have something to do with it. I noticed the gelding balding a little on his face but he does have some thin hair coming back just not as fast as he is losing it. With an unseasonable warm winter, only two mils snows and now 80 and 90 degrees in march and april I think its just throwing them out of whack and causing the seasonal alopecia. I would check with your vet but if she isnt scaly or showing signs of it itching I would assume it is due to the weather.

    Author: RoyaltyAwaits
Subject: Serious hair loss problem
Posted: March-31-2012 at 3:59pm

Does seasonal alopecia go to the back? My horse didnt have fur on her back when I first got her, but that was because she is an eventing horse and with all the sweat and dirt she got a rainrot on her back and a mud fever on her back legs. I had fixed this problem and she had a very nice thick winter coat (the previous owner came to see her and was very impressed saying her coat never looked better!). It was a very weird winter this year, it was very cold but then when warm up to almost the 60's then would drop down to almost the teens again. It has also been a weird March, usually very warm about the 70s almost 80s but would once and a while drop to the 50s, could this be seasonal alopecia? I noticed in started on her face and I had to put sheep skin on her bridle and halter to avoid irratating the bald spots, and then I brushed her and her fur came off her back. It has almost been two weeks since I noticed and she has bad skin to begin with. I read someone saying it can also be from the heat of corn, and I also feed corn more in the winter, and a gelding in her previous feild kept mounting her, so could that have made her tempter rise? I know this was an older post but it would be great if someone could tell me if my mare may have this. It has not spread to an of her pasture pales and hasnt spread to my other horses that use the same equipment.
